a young researcher in the field of communication, currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Mass Communication at Texas Tech University, USA. My research focuses on how AI-generated disinformation spreads across social media platforms and digital presences, including extended reality (XR). I investigate how individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds perceive and react to this disinformation. My goal is to uncover the mechanisms behind its dissemination and develop solutions—such as AI accents that can detect disinformation in text, audio, and visual formats. This work is guided by the European Union’s AI Act, which emphasizes transparency and human rights, and aims to restore public trust in digital communication.

I am also the co-founder and researcher of the Cross-Cultural Disinformation Dashboard for Bangladesh (CCDDB.org), a real-time platform that will monitor and counter political disinformation during elections. CCDDB is uniquely designed to address Bangladesh’s complex cultural and linguistic diversity, providing tailored solutions to media professionals, policymakers, and NGOs during critical moments during national elections.

With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Khulna University, Bangladesh, and over seven years of experience across journalism, non-profit organizations, and the creative industry, I bring diverse insights into my academic and professional work. Also, I serve as a teaching and research assistant at Texas Tech University.

My work experience includes serving as a Communication Assistant at the International Centre for Communication and Development, as well as working as a correspondent for The Daily Samakal, a leading national newspaper, where I covered news related to Khulna University. I also worked as an Acting News Editor for The Odommo Bangla, an online news portal of the MCJ Discipline at Khulna University.

In addition to this, I have an extensive background in serving various organizations and volunteer clubs, participating in a range of activities including event planning, event management, public speaking, debating, journalism, blood drives, and crowdfunding. I am a creative individual who enjoys graphic designing and video editing.
